Diese installative Arbeit, versinnlicht den Überschuss an überwiegend belangloser Information, verfasst von Millionen Menschen rund um die Uhr, weltweit.
Die Nachrichten, der jeweils am beliebtesten zehn Themen, werden in Echtzeit verfolgt, und klanglich von einem motorisierten Flügel zehntönig wiedergeben. Die Themen werden durchgängig und direkt durch den neu erstellten Kanal (Twitter à Flügel) geleitet, und durch kompositorische Verknüpfungen akustisch.
Durch das Verbinden des digitalen, körperlosen Netzwerks „Twitter“ und dem traditionellen, mechanischen Konzertflügel, entsteht ein offensichtlich spürbares Spannungsverhältnis.
Der Gedanke daran, dass die Installation in stetigem Fortgang unfreiwillige Interpreten hat, macht den klanglichen Verlauf umso interessanter.

Update:
Wikileaks still got access to the server, i think they might upload their website in the process of releasing new documents. That means it can be tomorrow, or it will be in 2 months. Access will be available till its uploaded here.
We’ve had another project week at school. This time we’ve researched and experienced on the topic of live electronics. We’ve split up in groups and decided in what directions to move. Me and my group went the old fashioned way: Midi controllers, Max/MSP-Patch, Clarinet, Speakers. As soon as I receive the records of the presentation, i’ll update the post with a proper mixdown.
The Patch is in the making. The Twitter-Max/MSP Interface nearly perfect. Videos soon.
I’m currently writing a concept about ambient sound installation, controlled by tweets.
